Military swords and sabers have long been a proud symbol for every branch of the U.S. military. The precise tradition and history behind the military sword is unknown, but many experts conclude that it started with the insignia used by the U.S. Army's 11th Cavalry, 15th Cavalry, 158th and 202nd Cavalry many years ago.
